The Department of Homeland Security filed an emergency appeal to the Supreme Court’s shadow docket, asking for a stay against a lower court ruling that blocked the use of Social Security Numbers and other information that was merged into the SAVE system by DOGE. DHS claimed that not being able to use the system would “threaten the integrity of the upcoming election.”

Official Action:
The US Census Department publishes a proposed rule in the Federal Register that would direct the 2030 Census to not count non-citizen immigrants and would eliminate all questions about race, ethnicity and gender. The Trump Administration has attempted to remove immigrants from the count, but it’s unclear if this effort would violate the 14th Amendment of the Constitution. Removing all demographic questions would effectively disable any demographic analysis in the US.

Presumably he has been detailed to the GSA by Sam Corcos. He then begins to make a rapid series of AI-driven alterations to the repository, sparking alarm about the quality and reliability of the USWDS going forward.

The Government Accountability Office releases a report detailing about how there are few assurances that agencies followed proper procedures to protect systems and data from unauthorized access by DOGE. It specifically outlines issues at CFPB, Education, NOAA and the SEC. The SBA and VA were also contacted but provided no information.

The site is run using LLM tools from Google Gemini and xAI’s Grok. In 2027, the site will reportedly expand to allow people to submit applications and track progress for things like getting a passport or applying to Medicare. The site does promise more privacy protections than some previous NDS sites and features the Rampart LLM model built by NDS.
